Dear reader,
Between the fantasy loaded fashion week that is Paris haute couture, among raff Simons colorful 60’s vibe collection, running through the impressionist garden that composed Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel, and the magnificent east European farmer look that Valentino’s Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Piccioli managed to elevate, fashion bloggers and journalists have had a wonderful time describing which collections were their favorites and why, but among their descriptions of future trends, and detail filled chronicles of the week, most people that belong to the fashion industry’s media have forgotten to look at what is to me the most creative and fun part of all the fashion weeks, street style.

Runways are, In my opinion, a look to the future, that’s why
they are presented before the season they are intended to be worn; on the other
hand street style is a look to the present, an elevated, sometimes over the
top, sometimes minimalistic, way to look at the trends that should be followed
this season; sometimes it is fur, sometimes, it is stripes, sometimes it is the
70’s, but street style never fails to show an artistic, fun, beautiful way to wear the trends.
These are some of my favorite pictures from the street style
in paris haute couture fashion week; some treds that should be followed this spring, like tailoring, bold colours, fur, and statement purses, are evident here:
